I. Mission Statement
Barksdale Community Education Partnership (BCEP), shall strive to improve the quality of education and safety for all children of the Barksdale community. The BCEP shall achieve these improvements through a close working relationship with Barkksdale Air Force Base families, Barksdale Air Force Base leadership, and local parish schools.
II. Goals
- Serves as an advocate for all military and military related students in public, private, and home schools.
- Use the expertise, knowledge and experience gained to initiate programs to meet the needs of the military dependent students.
- Establish communication and open dialogue between parents, base leadership, school district leaders, administration and faculty to provide a positive and safe learning environment for all children
- Inspire initiative, support enthusiasm, and encourage parents to apply their special skills and abilities in support of the community and/or local schools.
- Establish a strong professional relationship and a deeper sense of community and responsibility between local schools, families, teachers and administrators.

Monthly Meetings
- The BCEP will meet on the second Thursday of each month. Additional meetings may be called by the Executive Board.
- Prior to each meeting of the BCEP, the Executive Board shall establish the agenda, date, time and place of the meeting. The Recording Secretary shall notify members..
- Following each BCEP meeting, the Recording Secretary shall prepare minutes of the meeting and distribute to all Executive Board members and voting members and make available to all others attending the meeting. Meeting minutes may be published on a Partnership website if one exists.
- A quorum for all voting issues, including the election of officers, shall be by a majority of the voting membership.
